Espresso Displays has announced a new portable monitor, the Espresso Displays 15 Pro. It has a peak brightness of 550 nits and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and both Windows and MacOS computers, all with full touch support. The new display measures 15.6 inches, has a 4K resolution, two USB-C ports, and is 9 mm thick. Pricing has not yet been announced, but it should go on sale in the coming months.
The Espresso Displays 15 Pro monitor has a durable and minimalist case made of aluminum in a matte black color. At the same time, the device looks quite stylish:
The monitor is attached to the stand with a magnet. This should ensure easy installation and angle adjustment of the Espresso Displays 15 Pro. The manufacturer demonstrates completely different options for placing the monitor and, accordingly, working with it in promotional materials:
In general, the company is targeting users of Apple laptops, which have high resolution.
However, the new Espresso Displays 15 Pro monitor offers full touchscreen support for both Windows and MacOS devices. It is also compatible with iPhone, iPad, and Samsung Galaxy devices running Samsung DeX.
Espresso also offers a proprietary stylus that lets you use the screen as a tablet, allowing you to take notes, sketches, annotations, and more.
The display has a maximum brightness of 550 nits. The Espresso Displays 15 Pro connects to your laptop via a single cable (the 17 Pro connects via two cables: one to the device and one to power for maximum brightness).
Espresso Displays says the monitor is compatible with the Stand+ stand announced last year, which offers extra height. With a new “extended” mode, the stand can rise up to 362mm, a significant increase from the closed height of 119mm. The attached display can be oriented in either landscape or portrait orientation. The extra height allows the Stand+ to hold the Display 15 above the laptop screen, making the entire setup more ergonomic.
“Building on the success of the Espresso 17 Pro, the 15 Pro is a more compact, energy-efficient and brighter option, while delivering exceptional picture quality, performance and viewing comfort when used with the ergonomic Stand+ ,” the company says.
The company claims to use premium glass, aluminum, and a user-friendly design that will allow you to work with the new Espresso Displays 15 Pro portable monitor in virtually any situation. Such devices can be used both for more convenient editing/processing of images, and directly on the set, as a budget solution for more convenient monitoring.
Pricing for the new Espresso Displays 15 Pro has not been announced at the time of publication, but the company expects it to go on sale in the coming months.
