At the event in Barcelona, HUAWEI presented many of its products that demonstrate its strategy for developing wearable devices. These include the latest Eyewear 2 smart glasses, which feature improved touch controls with gesture support and several new features.
The first generation of glasses was presented in December 2021, and the gadget itself turned out to be quite interesting. Eyewear 2 largely retains the design and functionality of the previous model, as well as the convenience of gesture control. The device has a built-in speaker and supports triple noise reduction technology for voice calls. One of the key improvements is the impressive battery life. Eyewear 2 provides up to 11 hours of music playback and up to 9 hours of talk time. There is a fast charging option: 10 minutes of connecting to the network allows you to use the gadget for another three hours, and a full charge takes only 50 minutes.
The glasses have a lightweight titanium frame (just 4.7g) and users can choose Zeiss prescription lenses. In addition, the manufacturer claims protection according to the IP54 standard, which makes them suitable for everyday use. Eyewear 2 easily pairs via Bluetooth with iOS, Android and Windows devices, providing compatibility with a wide range of platforms.
Sales of Eyewear 2 smart glasses are scheduled for October 18. The cost of the glasses will be 300 euros.
