At the presentation on December 9, Huawei released several new products. One of the most interesting new products is Huawei Vision Glass smart glasses.
The device looks like sunglasses with a futuristic design. Huawei Vision Glass is suitable for travel and long video viewing. When folded, the goggles are 21 mm thick and weigh 112 g. The nose rest is adjustable in three positions depending on the user’s physiology, and the elastic temples allow the goggles to sit comfortably on the face. The device can correct myopia, allowing it to be worn without prescription glasses. Comes with a special case for storage and carrying.
Huawei Vision Glass features two independent Full HD microOLED displays with a peak brightness of 480 nits that cover 90% of the DCI-P3 color space. The device is certified by TUV Rheinland with low blue light levels for better eye protection. The brightness of the image is adjusted by a button with five modes. The company says the glasses can project a virtual screen equivalent to a real one at 120 inches. But at the same time, Huawei did not announce the distance between the user and the screen.
Two ultra-thin 128mm drivers are built into the temples. According to the manufacturer, Vision Glass reduces sound leakage due to its own sound chip. This means that even in a relatively quiet public place, the user will not disturb others. At the same time, they do not have their own processor, memory and battery. So you won’t be able to play video from an external drive, and the glasses will only work by wire.
The cost of Huawei Vision Glass is 2,999 yuan. They’re available for pre-order in China and will go on sale on December 26th.
