Austrian Audio , founded by former engineers AKG after moving to the brand’s headquarters in the United States, introduced a new model in the series covering the headphones Hi-the X (High Excursion) . The new Hi-X65 is aimed at both professionals and audiophiles.
The acoustic part of the Austrian Audio Hi-X65 is built on a dynamic driver with a 44 mm diaphragm and a ring magnet system, which ensures unobstructed airflow and high field strength.
The voice coil is made of copper-plated aluminum wire for better impulse response and better bass detail. The ear cushions and headband are finished in leatherette with memory foam filling. The ear cups and headband are made of metal.
The 25 ohm nominal impedance promises to seamlessly match a wide range of amplifiers, studio consoles and even laptops. The delivery set includes cables 1.2 and 3 meters long with a 3.5 plug and an adapter to a 6.35 mm jack. The Austrian Audio Hi-X65 has a retail price of 350 euros in Europe .
