Bowers & Wilkins has unveiled the Px7 S2e , an upgraded version of its award-winning active noise-cancelling wireless on-ear headphones. Bowers & Wilkins has built an outstanding reputation for creating headphones that deliver the most detailed, natural and immersive sound possible – True Sound – true to the artist’s intent. The new Px7 S2e is the latest addition to the company’s highly successful portfolio of premium audio headphones. All of them were developed taking into account the proprietary True Sound philosophy.
Key to the Px7 S2e’s outstanding audio quality is a significantly upgraded DSP processor, optimized by Bowers & Wilkins to deliver exceptional performance when playing all types of streaming music, including high-resolution 24-bit audio from eligible streaming services. The upgraded processor also gave Bowers & Wilkins engineers the ability to reconfigure the Px7 S2e speaker platform to deliver unparalleled detail, dynamics and spaciousness.
The Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2e headphones continue to use custom-designed 40mm drivers. They provide ultra-fast response, allowing you to accurately capture every nuance of a piece of music while maintaining extremely low distortion for more accurate reproduction. The drivers are positioned at a carefully calculated angle within each earpiece to ensure a constant distance from the listener’s ear to every point across the cone, again creating a more natural and immersive soundstage.
In addition to a powerful DSP processor and high-quality drivers, the Px7 S2e headphones are also equipped with Qualcomm aptX adaptive wireless technology to automatically optimize wireless music transfer from compatible smartphones, tablets and computers. USB-C and 3.5mm minijack cable connections are also supported, with both cable types and a carrying case included in the box.
The Px7 S2e headphones feature Bowers & Wilkins-optimized noise-canceling technology to effectively cancel out unwanted noise without compromising the sound quality of your music. Six microphones work together for the best results: two measure the output of each speaker, two respond to ambient noise from the outside world, and two provide exceptional call clarity with advanced noise cancellation for crystal-clear voice calls. Careful positioning and angle of these microphones improves performance even in the noisiest environments.
Like all recently launched Bowers & Wilkins headphones, the Px7 S2e works directly with the Bowers & Wilkins Music app for maximum control, customization and ease of use. This app can be used to pair the Px7 S2e with a wide range of Bluetooth-enabled devices, fine-tune the sound with an equalizer, turn on or off the noise-canceling Transparency mode to more or less let in sounds from the outside world, and finally control battery charge level. The app also provides direct music streaming from compatible streaming platforms, including Deezer, last.fm, NTS Radio, Qobuz, TIDAL and TuneIn. This app can also be used with other Bowers & Wilkins products such as the Zeppelin audio system,
There are also physical controls on the earcups that provide full control even without an app, including using the Px7 S2e to easily launch your smartphone’s voice assistant with the touch of a button. With 30 hours of battery life, the Px7 S2e headphones can play music for a full day – and more – on just one charge, while a 15-minute quick charge provides up to seven hours of additional listening time. Android device users can also take advantage of Google Fast Pair, which automatically supports Google’s Find My Device service if the owner accidentally loses their headphones.
Finally, to further highlight the excellence of the Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2e headphones , they are now available in four premium finishes: Anthracite Black, Ocean Blue, Cloud Gray and Forest Green , all featuring enhanced detailing combined with high-quality materials carefully designed for comfortable and long-lasting listening. The new model retains its sleek design, lightweight design and luxurious memory foam ear pads that perfectly cover and gently surround your ears for maximum comfort, no matter how long you listen.
