FiiO has released its first-ever planar headphones, the FT5, with an open acoustic design .
It uses isodynamic emitters of its own design, which have a 90 mm diaphragm with a thickness of only 6 microns . The flat voice coil applied to it is made of an alloy of aluminum and silver, and the magnetic system with a power of 1.5 Tesla consists of 20 neodymium magnets in each channel.
The earcups and headband are made of aluminum-magnesium alloy; the headphones weigh 456 grams without cable . The delivery set includes two pairs of interchangeable ear pads covered in suede and protein leather, differing in sound signature.
The detachable cable has 392 high-purity monocrystalline copper cores, the modular connector allows for the installation of four different types of plugs – 3.5 mm, 4.4 mm, 6.35 mm and XLR. The sensitivity of the headphones is 110 dB , the nominal impedance is 36 Ohms .
