OnePlus has unveiled the second version of its budget headphones. The cost of Nord Buds 2 has increased by 50% compared to its predecessor, but in return, the novelty offers users a number of improvements.
The new headphones use titanium drivers with a diameter of 12.4 mm, which is the same as the first Nord Buds, but unlike them, they are equipped with active noise cancellation technology that can dampen background noise up to 25 dB. Users can choose between two modes: standard and “transparency” mode. The second allows you to hear everything that is happening around, while playing music or a telephone conversation. Also, the device uses artificial intelligence algorithms to emphasize the bass without losing quality.
They told the company that they were able to solve the main problem of the first model – the quality of phone calls. In Nord Buds 2, the use of AI in combination with a dual microphone system ensures high quality voice communications. The novelty uses the AAC codec and supports Dolby Atmos technology. Users have the opportunity to adjust the sound quality using preset equalizer settings. The device is protected from moisture penetration according to the IP55 standard.
The batteries built into the headphones, according to the developers, will last for seven hours of battery life with noise reduction turned on. The charging case will add another 29 hours to this time. The Nord Buds 2 headphones are available in white and gray and are priced at $60.
