According to the Polish company Audio Phonique , the DAC DHT tube DAC was designed to compete with the world’s best digital-to-analog converters – both in sound quality and in design and components used.
The Audio Phonique DAC D HT ‘s low distortion is a result of its unique topology, the use of Emission Labs EML45 direct-fired triodes, carefully selected audiophile components from the industry’s best manufacturers, and hand-crafted assembly. The new product converts all incoming digital streams to DSD, after which it is converted to analogue form.
The Audio Phonique DAC DHT circuit uses Lundahl anode chokes, Mundorf MCap® SUPREME Classic SilverGold oil capacitors, TubeCap® and MLytic® AG capacitors for power and signal stages, precision low-noise Vishay-Dale resistors, WBT and Neutrik connectors. The installation was carried out on a 3 mm thick printed circuit board with OFC copper traces using Cardas solder.
The Audio Phonique DAC DHT’s connectivity arsenal includes a coaxial SPDIF input, a balanced AES/EBU digital input, and a USB-B port for connecting a computer and compatible sources. Analog switching is represented not only by an unbalanced output on RCA connectors, but also by a balanced output on XLR.
