Cayin has introduced an updated version of its popular C9 headphone amplifier, named C9ii. The Cayin C9ii is a compact headphone amplifier with innovative technologies such as Nutube 6P1 tube amplification, fully balanced architecture, and a newly designed power supply unit. The C9ii battery is user-replaceable if needed.
The Cayin C9ii amplifier uses the fifth generation Nutube 6P1 vacuum tube. Cayin has used this vacuum tube in various products, namely the N8, C9, N8ii, N30LE and now the C9ii. This solution achieves the warmth and musicality of classic tube amplifiers in an extremely compact and energy-efficient format.
After much experimentation, Cayin equipped the C9ii amplifier with an adjustable plate voltage in addition to the selectable classic/modern tube sound. This allows the user to further customize the sound character. A low value provides a softer, warmer sound, while a higher voltage provides a more dynamic and detailed reproduction.
The Cayin C9ii features a fully balanced amplification circuit that delivers low distortion, extended dynamic range, and improved channel separation. The symmetrical circuit also reduces crosstalk between channels, creating a cleaner sound image and an even more accurate stereo image. The Cayin C9ii amplifier delivers detailed music reproduction that will please even the most demanding audiophiles.
The new Cayin C9ii headphone amplifier will be available in Europe soon. The recommended retail price of the new product is 2,499 euros . Until December 8, 2024, there will be a promotional price of 2,300 euros
