Swiss High End brand Goldmund has introduced the Goldmund Telos 4800 mono power amplifier , which embodies the essence of the flagship Telos 8800 model in a more compact form.
The Goldmund Telos 4800 Mono Power Amplifier is capable of delivering 1,050 watts of power into a nominal 8 ohm load. The harmonic distortion coefficient does not exceed 0.005% in the range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, and the dynamic range is 117 dB with a bandwidth of 22 kHz. The damping factor is 600 units at 1 kHz, and the output noise is less than 3 μV. It is possible to adjust the gain level in 3 dB steps, providing precise control and adjustment according to individual preferences.
The Goldmund Telos 4800 monoblock uses proprietary Goldmund MKP capacitors based on polypropylene film metallized with silver. A copper ground busbar ensures stable power supply to the output stage on MOSFET transistors.
The fully analog Goldmund Telos 4800 provides maximum thermal safety and short-circuit protection. In the event of a problem, the amplifier quickly switches off, protecting both the speakers and the amplifier itself.
For connecting a preamplifier, the Goldmund Telos 4800 features both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs. In addition, an RS232 control port and a 12V trigger input expand the amplifier’s integration options into smart home systems, making it suitable for sophisticated home audio installations.
Goldmund Telos 4800 embodies the signature strict design of Goldmund, and is offered in silver and black. The recommended retail price of the new product is 220 thousand Swiss francs. And this is for one monoblock!
