Holborne has announced the launch of the Holborne Passion hybrid integrated amplifier . The device is made in a completely analogous concept, excluding any digital elements even in the control modules. The Holborne Passion tube amplification input stages are complemented by the output stages made on field effect ( FET ) transistors.
The highlight of the model is the replaceable phono stage modules. Both modules are vacuum tubes – depending on your needs, you can choose the type of phono stage – to work with heads with a moving magnet ( MM ), or with a moving coil ( MC ). At the same time, the manufacturer promises to follow the RIAA equalization curve with an accuracy of no worse than 0.5 dB.
The switching arsenal, in addition to the phono input, includes four line inputs on serious gold-plated RCA connectors and an output from a pre-amplifier. To connect the speakers, two pairs of high-quality screw speaker terminals are provided. Here, on the patch panel, there are separate gain controls for each channel, which allow you to fine-tune the overall gain level for the particulars of a particular acoustics model.
The Holborne Passion Hybrid Integrated Amplifier delivers 70 watts per channel into an 8 ohm load. The operating frequency range of the novelty extends from 20 Hz to 100 kHz.
The Holborne Passion amplifier is housed in a metal case and is available in black or silver .
