The renowned manufacturer of exclusive tube technology, the French company Jadis , has expanded its line of integrated amplifiers with the I-70 model . A distinctive feature of the amplifier was the construction of output amplification stages based on completely fresh KT170 tetrodes , developed by Tung-Sol specifically for high-end tube amplifiers.
The beam tetrode with a large pear-shaped bulb and an admissible power dissipation at the anode of 85 W turned out to be the most powerful lamp in the KT series. The push-pull output stage of each channel is based on two of these tubes and operates in ultra-linear mode with automatic bias in pure class A, delivering 60 watts per channel. The amplifier has a dual mono concept.
The input stages of the amplifier are traditional – made on the ECC82 and ECC83 triodes . The component is equipped with five line level unbalanced inputs on high quality gold plated RCA connectors . Two pairs of deluxe speaker terminals for each channel allow for bivyering connectivity.
The Jadis I-70 implements separate power supply not only for channels, but also for different stages of one channel. For this, separate secondary windings of a powerful power transformer are used. The lamp filament voltage is stabilized.
The amplifier comes with an elegant remote control. In Europe, it can be purchased for 13,950 euros .
