Shanling has launched a new H5 portable digital-to – analog converter and headphone amplifier .
The DAC section is built on a dual chip AK4493SEQ from the Japanese company Asahi Kasei and can work with a PCM signal 32 bit / 768 kHz and a DSD 512 stream , it provides 6 switchable filters. To supply a digital signal, a USB-C port or a 3.5 mm jack is used; for wireless connection, there is a Bluetooth adapter that supports the LDAC codec .
The amplifier has three selectable gain levels and delivers up to 227 mW into 32 ohms when connected to a 3.5 mm jack and up to 840 mW into 32 ohms when connected to a 4.4 mm balanced jack. On the top panel there is a volume knob and a wheel for navigating the menu, below them is a 0.87 -inch OLED display . The device also has a slot for memory cards up to 2 TB. Model dimensions – 102 x 85 x 25 mm , weight – 270 grams .
