SMSL has released the DO400 desktop digital-to – analog converter and headphone amplifier based on ESS Saber’s top-of-the-line solution .
The model uses the flagship ES9039MSPRO chip, as well as the XMOS XU-316 USB processor , capable of processing and decoding PCM 32-bit / 768 kHz signals and native DSD512 stream , as well as MQA files . To connect digital signal sources, a full set of connectors is provided, including USB, HDMI I2S, optical and coaxial inputs, as well as AES / EBU.
Headphones can be connected to 4.4mm, 6.35mm and 4-pin XLR jacks. The maximum output power of 6 watts will allow the amplifier to cope with any load. The built-in Bluetooth 5.1 adapter supports LDAC, aptX HD, SBC and AAC codecs . The model is equipped with a small remote control, device dimensions – 245 x 186 x 42 mm , weight – 1.45 kg .
