SMSL has released a new fully balanced headphone amplifier, the VMV P2 , which also features a preamplifier function.
The component has a new design with a profiled front panel, part of which is trimmed with tempered glass. There are three connectors for connecting headphones – 4.4 mm and 6.35 mm jacks and a four-pin XLR. On the rear panel there are two-position switches for inputs and amplifier operating modes, as well as gain levels.
The LOW level is used when connecting highly sensitive in-ear headphones. The amplifier circuit is built on 99 operational amplifiers connected in parallel, which made it possible to obtain a power of up to 6 Watts with a resistance load of 32 Ohms and a signal-to-noise ratio of 133 dB .
The SMSL VMV P2 balanced headphone amplifier is available to order online starting at $999.
