Teufel has launched the Kombo 62, a 2.1-channel integrated amplifier with a CD drive, radio and streaming functions and Bluetooth connectivity. The Kombo 62 can be purchased separately, but Teufel has also put together various bundles that include a pair of speakers.
Devil Kombo 62
The new Kombo 62 from Teufel is basically a 2.1-channel CD receiver. The new device has more power, more connectivity and more streaming options than its predecessor. The designers have also managed to reduce the dimensions, optimize the operation and carefully refine the sound.
The Kombo 62 has a stated power of 130 watts per channel at a speaker impedance of four ohms (1% THD). According to the manufacturer, the Kombo 62 is suitable for a wide range of speakers. The built-in CD drive can play pressed and burned CDs (CD-R and CD-RW). A television can be connected to the HDMI input and there are also two cinch line inputs and an optical input. A USB-C input and a headphone output are mounted on the front.
Connection to a network can be made with a UTP cable (RJ-45 LAN port) or wirelessly via WiFi. Of course, there is also Bluetooth connectivity (with AAC). The radio enthusiast has DAB+, FM and internet radio at his disposal. Spotify Connect is supported.
Operation is via buttons on the front or with the remote control, possibly with the remote control of the television for the volume. Operation is also possible via the Teufel Remote app. More sound settings and crossover frequency when using a subwoofer (cinch connection on the rear panel) can be set in the menu.
Finally, Teufel says that the Kombo 62 is easy to repair if necessary and is therefore durable, thanks to internally plugged replaceable modules.
The Teufel Kombo 62 has a suggested retail price of just under 600 euros. There are also bundles with speakers available.
