Apple never advertises the battery capacity of its smartphones, which makes it even more interesting to learn this information every time after the presentation of new iPhones. The current series is no exception, but the MySmartPrice resource has already received this information from the Chinese regulator’s database.
The documentation indicates that the iPhone 15 is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 3349 mAh (12.981 Wh), the iPhone 15 Pro has a battery capacity of 3274 mAh (12.70 Wh), the iPhone 15 Plus has a capacity of 4383 mAh, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max – 4422 mAh.
Last year, the same database revealed the battery capacity for the iPhone 14 series. Here is the data for comparison:
- iPhone 14 – 3279 mAh
- iPhone 14 Plus – 4325 mAh
- iPhone 14 Pro – 3200 mAh
- iPhone 14 Pro Max – 4323 mAh
As you can see, the increase in battery capacity compared to last year’s series is quite insignificant. It is worth noting that Apple itself did not mention any improvements in the autonomy of the new smartphones relative to previous models. This also refutes numerous rumors pointing to a significant increase in the energy efficiency of the A17 Pro chip, which should have a significant impact on increasing the battery life of the iPhone.
Approximate battery life for each iPhone 15 model, according to Apple:
- iPhone 15 – 20 hours
- iPhone 15 Plus – 26 hours
- iPhone 15 Pro – 23 hours
- iPhone 15 Pro Max – 29 hours
The company provided exactly the same data for the iPhone 14 series. In any case, testing of new products will be more accurate when they go on sale, that is, after September 22.
