Oppo has introduced a new mid-range smartphone, the Oppo A5 Pro. This device features a dual-camera setup on the rear, comprising a 50 MP primary sensor and a 2 MP secondary sensor. For selfies, it boasts a 16 MP front camera. The smartphone sports a display resolution of 2412 × 1080 pixels and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor. The starting price for this model is $270.
Oppo aims to provide a budget-friendly smartphone that stands out against pricier flagship models. The latest Oppo A5 Pro comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, also featuring a resolution of 2412×1080 pixels.
The screen boasts a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz and a brightness level of 1200 cd/m². It features a protective layer of Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, which includes four Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.5 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz, along with a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU.
The smartphone boasts IP66/68/69 ratings, military certification under GJB150A-2009, and features drop protection. It is equipped with symmetrical low-frequency antennas on both ends of the frame to enhance signal quality. The Oppo A5 Pro is powered by a robust 6,000 mAh battery with 80 W wired charging, supports 5G connectivity, and includes stereo speakers and NFC functionality.
It comes in configurations of 8 or 12 GB of RAM, along with storage options of 256 or 512 GB. The device operates on Android 15, layered with the proprietary ColorOS 15 interface.
The base model of the Oppo A5 Pro, featuring 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, is priced at $270. The variants with 8/512 GB and 12/256 GB are available for $300. The highest configuration, offering 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, is priced at $340.
In early December, Oppo unveiled the Find X8 Pro, a premium flagship designed to rival the leading camera phones in the DxOMark rankings. This smartphone features a quad-camera setup, including two telephoto modules, developed in collaboration with the renowned Hasselblad brand.
