Redmi has launched two cutting-edge devices: the Redmi Turbo 3 smartphone, which boasts top-notch performance, and the Redmi Pad Pro tablet, featuring a spacious 12-inch display. Despite being positioned as flagship products, both devices come at a more affordable price compared to their competitors. The smartphone is equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, which incorporates an enhanced cooling system. Additionally, it boasts a camera with a state-of-the-art Sony LYT-600 matrix.
Redmi Turbo 3
The new Redmi Turbo 3 smartphone is positioned as one of the most powerful devices from Redmi. During the presentation, the gadget was called “Little Tornado”.
Firstly, the smartphone received a main camera with a new generation matrix: Sony LYT-600. The sensor has a resolution of 50 megapixels and an optical format of 1/2 inches. Exactly the same one is installed in the Realme 12+ smartphone. The new product with this module comes with an OIS optical image stabilization system, and the optics itself has an F/1.59 aperture.
Redmi Turbo 3 received support for video recording in 4K 60 fps . There is one more module: a camera with wide-angle optics and an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 matrix. And the front camera received a 20MP sensor.
The smartphone runs on a high-performance Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor (4 nm process technology). Thus, the device scores 1.754 million points in the AnTuTu benchmark. By the way, formally this chip supports 8K 30fps recording. The chip shows performance results at the level of the previous generation flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
It is noted that the device has a new cooling system – Fury Engine 3.0. It works in conjunction with an AI system that optimizes resource consumption and performance. The top-end chip comes with memory: LPDDR5X (RAM) and UFS 4.0 (flash memory).
Thus, the new Redmi Turbo 3 smartphone is suitable not only for games and resource-intensive applications (for example, video editing), but also for shooting, since the chip will provide high-quality processing of photos and videos.

Redmi Pad Pro
The second device that Redmi presented is a tablet with a large display diagonal and low cost. The 12.1-inch display has a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a peak brightness of 600 cd/m2 and a protective coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The screen supports Xiaomi Qingshan eye protection and has received triple TÜV Rheinland certification.
The tablet received a more average version of the chip – Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. It shows three times lower results in the AnTuTu benchmark than the chip that the Redmi Turbo 3 smartphone received.
The tablet received a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor. There are versions of the tablet with 6 GB and 8 GB of RAM. And the flash memory can be further expanded using a microSD memory card.
The body of the Redmi Pad Pro tablet is made entirely of metal. It received a 10,000 mAh battery. It is enough to watch HD video for 14 hours. Support for fast charging with a power of 33 W has been implemented.
The main camera has an 8-megapixel sensor, as does the front one. The tablet has four speakers with Dolby Atmos and two microphones. There is also a 3.5 mm headphone jack. There is a USB Type-C 2.0 connector. The device runs on the Android 14 operating system.
For the Redmi Pad Pro tablet, a stylus with 4096 degrees of pressure sensitivity and a response of 5 ms and a keyboard case are also sold separately. Each accessory is valued at about $41.
Redmi Pad Pro will be available in blue, green and gray colors. In a configuration with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, the device costs $207, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage costs $262. There will also be a maximum configuration of 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Sales of the tablet will begin today.
