Samsung has unveiled the latest Galaxy M series smartphone, the Galaxy M15 5G, which will be available in select markets. Despite the fact that the South Korean giant did not disclose the cost and timing of the new product’s availability, the characteristics of the smartphone and other details have already been published on the manufacturer’s website.
Externally, the Galaxy M15 5G is very similar to its predecessors. It has three main camera modules arranged vertically in a row. Samsung traditionally uses neat and minimalistic sensor framing, without resorting to large protruding blocks. The side edges of the rear panel have a slightly noticeable rounding, which effectively affects the comfort of the grip. There are three color options – light blue, dark blue and gray. The smartphone is built on an unnamed eight-core chipset with a clock frequency of 2.2 GHz. The specification corresponds to the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor. The device uses a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 800 nits of brightness.
The smartphone has 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. The storage can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card. Out of the box, the Galaxy M15 5G comes with Android 14 operating system. Samsung promises four system updates and five years of security patches. A 6000 mAh battery with support for 25 W fast charging is responsible for autonomy. It is noteworthy that the Galaxy M15 5G retains the classic headphone jack, and the fingerprint scanner is built into the power button.
As for photo and video capabilities, they are due to a triple camera with a 50 MP main sensor, as well as additional 5 MP (ultra-wide-angle) and 2 MP (macro). There is a 13 MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
