Today, September 22, at the Resorts World Convention Center in Singapore, TECNO held its official presentation, during which it presented its advanced flagship smartphone PHANTOM V Flip 5G, which has an impressive list of advantages. For example, the manufacturer places a special emphasis on the camera system and shooting in low-light conditions – for this, the flagship was equipped with a 64 MP main sensor with an f/1.7 aperture, an RGBW sensor and ISOCELL technology. As a result, the smartphone takes fairly rich pictures without unnecessary noise, and also captures 60% more light. Moreover, the gadget supports Dual-camera Fusion technology, which allows you to shoot with the main camera using information from the 13 MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
The gadget also has a 32 megapixel front camera with dual flash and support for the TECNO Super Flashlight algorithm, plus you can use the FreeCam system. Due to the folding design, the flagship can shoot from different angles and the user will be able to flexibly approach different shooting scenarios. FreeCam even supports control using voice commands, gestures and facial expressions, and the external screen of the device can be used as a viewfinder. Actually, the external screen should be given special attention, because it is an absolutely round AMOLED display with a diagonal of 1.3 inches and full coverage of the DCI-P3 color palette. This screen displays call notifications, weather data, activity rings and a lot of other useful information.
If desired, the user can customize the design of this screen – choose a clock style that suits his mood, change the screensaver and make other adjustments. The main screen also received an AMOLED matrix, but with a diagonal of 6.9 inches with an aspect ratio of 22:9. And, of course, it can be folded in half. The display supports a high refresh rate of 120 Hz, also fully covers the DCI-P3 color space and boasts Full HD+ resolution. The manufacturer noted that the PHANTOM V Flip 5G hinge can withstand more than 200 thousand folds and unfolds without creases, and the fold depth is no more than 0.15 mm.
The MediaTek Dimensity 8050 processor is responsible for the performance of the smartphone, the flagship has 8 GB of RAM with the ability to expand it up to 16 GB, and the built-in memory is represented by a 256 GB drive. The gadget’s 4,000 mAh battery supports fast charging technology and is replenished by 50% in 15 minutes, which, of course, is good news. The foldable flagship runs on proprietary firmware HiOS 13.5, which is based on the Android 13 operating system.
