Cooke Optics has added four new focal lengths to its S8/i FF series. These are 27mm, 35mm, 65mm and the long awaited 18mm. The series now features 16 cinema lenses for professional photography.
Cooke announced the first seven focal lengths of the S8/i series last March. The lenses feature fully spherical optics and a T1.4 fast aperture. They were created at the request of filmmakers who wanted more realistic and cinematic images on digital cameras.
Based on the renowned Cooke Loo optics, the S8/i FF lenses deliver high image quality with an organic character and smooth bokeh without noticeable chromatic aberration, the manufacturer claims.
The entire series of lenses is available in PL or LPL mount. Most Cooke S8/i FF lenses are now selling for $35,000
