Nikon Zf full specifications unveiled

Resource TheNewCamera shared the characteristics of the future camera Nikon Z f. From a recent set of core specs, it has been confirmed that the Z f will be Nikon’s first camera to feature a pixel-shift high-resolution mode, something not seen in any of the company’s previous cameras. Other features include the ability to add a microSD card slot and a regular SD card slot.

Updated Nikon Z f specifications:

  • Black camera body
  • 24.4MP BSI CMOS Sensor
  • Weight: 700 g including battery (Z 5 – 590 g, Z 6II – 615 g)
  • Dimensions: 144mm x 101mm
  • Up to 30 fps (JPG/HEIF)
  • Video recording up to 4K/60fps
  • USB-C PD (fast charging technology based on the USB-C standard)
  • ISO 100-64000 (Z 6II ISO range is 100-51200)
  • Battery EN-EL15
  • The Z f logo has been moved to the left on the case (Z fc has it on the right)
  • Pixel Shift: New High-Resolution Mode Coming to Nikon Mirrorless Camera for the First Time
  • The presentation is expected in August-September, shipments – until the end of 2023.
  • Improved autofocus compared to Z 5/Z 6II
  • The price for the body alone will be $1999, there will be several kits with different optics in the price range from $2000 to $2500.
  • One of the kits will be with a Nikkor Z 40mm f/2 (SE) lens (the new lens will not be presented with the Z f)
  • Design and controls are similar to Nikon Z fc, but with improvements
  • Small LCD screen on top for displaying aperture values.
