TTArtisan Tech (HK) Co., Limited has released the TTArtisan 500mm F6.3 full-frame manual focus telephoto lens priced at $329.
The lens is designed to work with full-frame sensors and has an optical design of 8 elements in 5 groups. Special elements, two ultra-low dispersion elements and two high-refractive elements, according to the manufacturer, minimize comatic aberrations, which will be useful when shooting the starry sky.
The 500mm focal length at a very affordable price makes this lens an interesting option for wildlife or sports photography, for example.
The minimum focusing distance is 3.3 m, which allows you to shoot close-ups. TTArtisan claims “a stunning bokeh effect in the form of soap bubbles.”
The body is metal, there are focus and aperture control rings. The package includes a metal lens hood and a tripod ring mount.
TTArtisan states that there is slight vignetting with full frame Sony cameras:
And with Z, RF, L-mount there is no vignetting.
