Leica has introduced a premium home projector that supports 4K resolution, HDR, and Dolby Vision. This model boasts high-quality Leica optics, a compact and lightweight design, and a triple RGB laser system that offers over 25,000 hours of projection time. It supports high dynamic range playback, including HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG, with the capability to project images on surfaces up to 300 inches diagonally. The retail price for this home theater system is $3,795.
The Leica Cine Play 1 is equipped with a top-tier Leica Summicron zoom lens integrated into the projection unit. This lens features premium glass that ensures 4K resolution throughout the entire zoom range, enabling users to project stunningly clear and detailed cinema-quality images on screens ranging from 65 to 300 inches.
Leica’s proprietary image processing technology, known as Leica Image Optimization (LIO), is integral to the new projector. This device employs advanced image optimization algorithms to achieve exceptionally natural color reproduction, subtle color gradations, and an impressive contrast ratio.
Additionally, the Cine Play 1 features a “game mode” that minimizes latency to under 12 milliseconds, enabling users to enjoy not only films and videos but also contemporary gaming experiences.
The Cine Play 1 is equipped with compatibility for Apple Airplay, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi, along with multiple wired connections, including HDMI, USB, and LAN. Its smart interface also allows integration with various voice-activated Smart Home devices.
Featuring a triple RGB laser system, the Leica Cine Play 1 boasts a lifespan exceeding 25,000 hours of projection. This ensures high color accuracy, particularly as it supports multiple high dynamic range formats, such as Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG.
The lamp located behind the lens is capable of delivering brightness levels of up to 3000 ANSI lumens, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor presentations at any time of the day.
In addition to its superior optical quality, the new Leica projector is notable for its compact design. Constructed from aluminum, it ensures both durability and ease of transport.
Leica also emphasizes the projector’s adaptability by offering an optional Floor Stand accessory. This stand allows for flexible positioning of the projector, and its connection system with the Cine Play 1 facilitates power pass-through, eliminating the need for any external cables hanging from the stand.
The Leica Cine Play 1 projector, now available at a premium price of $3,795, can be purchased through authorized Leica dealers and the official Leica website. An optional floor stand is also offered for an extra $495.
