Clarisys Audio launches Auditorium speakers with a price tag of $150.000

The American company Clarisys Audio first showed its flagship model of Auditorium speaker systems in May this year at the High End Show 2023 in Munich. And now the new product goes on sale. A distinctive feature of Clarisys Audio Auditorium speaker systems   is the fact that there is not a single speaker in their design – all emitters here are ribbon. The speakers are made in a three-way concept with an external passive crossover.

The high-frequency range from 5.5 kHz is served by a tweeter with three ribbon segments. The mid frequencies (250 Hz – 5.5 kHz) are controlled by an emitter consisting of seven planar tapes, each 42 mm wide. Clarisys Audio claims this is the widest ribbon midrange driver ever used in a loudspeaker system. The range below 250 Hz is assigned to a two-way bass panel. All emitters are equipped with neodymium magnetic systems.

Separating the areas of responsibility of the emitters is a three-way passive external crossover, the circuit of which uses audiophile components from Jantzen Superior Z and Multicap, as well as custom-made inductors and resistors.

Clarisys Audio Auditorium speakers deliver 90 dB sensitivity with a nominal impedance of 6 ohms (9 ohm bass, 4 ohm midrange, and 3.3 ohm tweeter), allowing them to be used with tube amplifiers. The height of the speakers exceeds two meters, and the weight of each speaker reaches 210 kg.

Clarisys Audio Auditorium speakers are now on sale. Recommended retail prices start from $150.000.
