The Swiss company Goldmund has released an active version of its Melos Active bookshelf monitors , which has received wireless functionality.
The two-way speaker systems are equipped with a soft dome tweeter and a 180 mm diameter bass driver loaded onto a bass reflex port, the dual port of which is located on the front panel. The power of the built-in amplifiers is 175 Watts for each band, and in total the total power of all amplifiers installed in each pair reaches 700 Watts . Each monitor weighs 24 kilograms .
To connect signal sources, only one coaxial digital input is provided; the presence of a parallel output allows you to connect the pair physically “digitally”. The model also has a corresponding adapter for wireless connection.
Like other acoustic systems of the company, Goldmund Melos Active are aimed at wealthy buyers – the price of one pair is $35,000.
