Sonos has introduced an upgraded version of its well-known wireless audio system, the Era 100 Pro. The addition of “Pro” signifies its design for professional use. The Sonos Era 100 Pro audio system features multiple installation options, including a detachable bracket and Power over Ethernet capabilities.
The Sonos Era 100 Pro is equipped with Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing both power and data to be delivered through a single Ethernet cable. Additionally, it includes a detachable bracket that enables secure horizontal mounting of the speaker on walls or ceilings. To enhance versatility, the Era 100 Pro can be paired with a Surface Mount (available separately), offering extensive pan, a 30-degree tilt, and full 360-degree rotation.
The ball joint combined with the bracket allows for smooth movement and reliable attachment, enabling the swift setup of multiple speakers while preventing audio systems from drooping over time. This bracket is compatible with surfaces constructed from a variety of materials.
Additionally, Sonos states that the Era 100 Pro shares the same specifications as the original Era 100 model, which was launched last December and has become a favorite among music enthusiasts.
Sonos has decided not to sell the new Era 100 Pro directly to consumers. Rather, the product will be available through professional installation services. Pre-orders for the audio system are currently open, with shipments scheduled to commence on January 28, 2025.
