The Tidal Audio Contriva G3 floorstanding speakers feature a set of exclusive drivers with black diamond ceramic, aluminum and carbon fiber cones. The Gen3 diamond tweeter is responsible for the high frequencies. The Gen3 midrange driver (ceramics “black diamond”) and two bass drivers (aluminum-carbon), like the tweeter, are equipped with neodymium magnets.
The signature uno-pulse crossover, assembled, according to Tidal, from the lowest tolerance components, is hermetically sealed in a separate chamber. All this is housed in a multi-chamber housing made using Tidal TIRALIT cabinet technology. The case sits on Tidal Gen3 vibration-isolating polished stainless steel mounts. Each column weighs 114 kg. For these four-ohm speakers, an amplifier with a power of more than 30 W is recommended.
Cabinets can be finished in Tidal’s signature dark black piano lacquer or a choice of veneers under Tidal clear piano lacquer.
The acoustics were first shown this year in Munich, and now they are on sale: in the USA, Tidal Audio Contriva G3 floor-standing speakers in black lacquer cost $79,000, and in veneer for $84,000.
