Apple has announced the arrival of the new iPad Pro powered by the M2 chip , which is postulated as a high-end tablet for 2022, bringing spectacular performance and the most advanced features to the table, including the floating Apple Pencil pointer , 5G connectivity (on the cellular version), and ProRes video capture, not to mention everything iPadOS 16 has to offer.
This is the new iPad Pro 2022 with M2 chip
First of all, this year’s iPad Pro comes in two size versions, one 11-inch and one 12.9-inch . In the case of the first, it is a Liquid Retina IPS panel with a resolution of 2,388 x 1,668 pixels and a brightness of 600 nits. In the case of the second, we are dealing with a “Liquid Retina XDR” miniLED panel with a resolution of 2,732 x 2,048 pixels and a brightness of 1,000 nits.
Both screens outline a refresh rate of 120Hz and support for the second generation Apple Pencil , which now has a preview mode that is activated 12mm above the screen, which they have baptized as a floating pointer. As if that were not enough, its precision has been improved and now the text fields expand automatically just by bringing the pen close to the screen.

With that said, the nerve center of the new iPad is Apple’s revolutionary M2 chip , which features an 8-core CPU paired with a 10-core GPU. Additionally, the 16-core Neural Engine complements the suite and handles AI and machine learning-related tasks.
In terms of memory, we will find it in configurations with 8GB or 16GB of RAM, which in turn can be accompanied by 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and up to 2TB of internal storage .
As is customary with Apple, we don’t have specific battery data, but the company promises up to 10 hours of battery life with continuous video streaming.
In the field of connectivity, it is important to note that we can get the iPad Pro in two versions: Wi-Fi and Cellular . This last option supports 5G mobile connection (sub‑6 GHz and mmWave4) in addition to the Wi-Fi 6E standard present in both.
In photographic terms, it has a 12MP main camera + 10MP wide angle . Meanwhile, on the front it sports a 12MP TrueDepth camera. Naturally, it supports FaceID and other photo perks like Flash TrueTone.
