The first OnePlus tablet supports both keyboard and stylus

Today, February 7, as part of a global presentation in India, OnePlus introduced the first in-house developed Android tablet, the OnePlus Pad. The OnePlus Padis interesting primarily for its flagship-level technical characteristics, but it is also worth noting a rather unusual design that stands out both in form factor and in color palette. The OnePlus Pad also supports Google’s advanced Fast Pair accessory technology with a minimum latency of just 54ms (OnePlus Buds Pro 2 is compatible) and close data sync with OnePlus smartphones.

The OnePlus Pad has a special IPS display called the ReadFit Screen. The tablet offers a non-standard 7:5 aspect ratio at 11.6 inches diagonally: it is noticeably taller in landscape than the classic 16:9 panel, but just below the 4:3 aspect ratio. The resolution is 2800×2000 pixels (296 ppi density), there is support for Dolby Vision technology, and the refresh rate is even higher than in the iPad Pro – 144 Hz (but this is only for some compatible and built-in applications, 120 Hz by default). The case has rounded edges and corners and is made entirely of aluminum. An unnamed safety glass is used on the front.

Inside, the OnePlus Pad is no less attractive. The processor is MediaTek Dimensity 9000 with ARMv9 architecture and a clock speed of up to 3 GHz, the hardware platform is made using a modern 4-nanometer process technology. The amount of RAM can be up to 12 GB (LPDDR5), 8 GB is expected in the basic version. Battery capacity – 9510 mAh. According to OnePlus, the tablet will provide up to 14.5 hours of video playback and can work up to one month in standby mode. 67W SuperVOOC fast charging is announced, charging up to 100% in 1 hour and 20 minutes.

OnePlus Pad specifications:

  • 128 GB internal storage (UFS 3.1);
  • Dolby Atmos stereo speakers;
  • single main camera 13 MP;
  • front camera 8 MP;
  • Wi-Fi 1/2/3/4/5/6, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C 2.0;
  • Multi-Screen Connect, which allows you to use the 5G connection of your OnePlus smartphone without having to buy a separate SIM card, and receive general notifications;
  • Android 13 with OxygenOS 13.1 out of the box.

The OnePlus Pad will be available for pre-order in April. Buyers will be offered a single color – green. The magnetic keyboard case and Stylo stylus will be sold separately. Prices and dates of the start of sales have not yet been announced.
