LG OLED and QNED TV prices for 2024

LG has officially announced prices for select series from its 2024 TV lineup. These are the prices at which LG plans to sell TVs at the start of sales.

While there are some great deals in the large-screen QNED LCD segment, it looks like things won’t be so great for OLED fans in 2024. Let’s look at the OLED series first. It’s worth noting right away that the mid-range LG C4 and premium LG G4 models will be available from the beginning of March.

OLED TV prices

LG G4

LG OLED97G4 – $25,000.
LG OLED83G4 – $6500.
LG OLED77G4 – $600.
LG OLED65G4 – $3400.
LG OLED55G4 – $2600.

LG C4

LG OLED83C4PUA – $5400.
LG OLED77C4PUA – $3700.
LG OLED65C4PUA – $2700.
LG OLED55C4PUA – $2000.
LG OLED48C4PUA – $1600.
LG OLED42C4PUA – $1500.

The new 97-inch G4 TV is priced particularly attractively because of the extra 14 inches of picture it provides compared to the 83-inch model. It is especially worth considering that, unlike other models in the line, there is no 97-inch size.

You should also pay attention to the benefits of LG Micro Lens Array technology , which increases brightness. At the same time, 98-inch LCD TVs began to appear on sale, costing approximately $2,000. On the other hand, such TVs have lower specifications.

All other G4 series, with the exception of the 83-inch model, cost $100 more than the starting prices of the 2023 LG G3 models. At least the 83-inch model costs the same price as in 2023. This is despite the fact that in 2024 this TV received MLA technology for the first time, and the 83-inch G3 did not have MLA.

This fact makes the LG OLED83G4 a bargain! Prices for the C4 series, which as of 2023 do not use MLA technology, also increased by $100 across the board. This seems especially surprising considering that unlike the G series, the C series hasn’t had any major hardware improvements over the last couple of generations.

The new C4 and G4 series models benefit from clearly improved picture processing, a new virtual 11.1.2-channel upmix system and some really useful improvements to their webOS 24 systems . But consumers expect that with so little technical improvement each year, OLED prices should drop slightly rather than skyrocket.

The rise in prices is most likely the result of high global inflation over the past year or so, which has impacted supply chains. It will be interesting to see if other brands can absorb these inflationary pressures without passing them on to consumers. In comparison, for example, with Samsung, the picture looks ambiguous.

The currently announced European prices will increase by 100 euros compared to 2023. But US prices appear to be the same as in 2023. The flagship OLED S95D models are $100 cheaper than the equivalent LG G4 models. However, please note that Samsung US prices are currently released through retailers and not through Samsung’s official marketing channels.

In the meantime, there is a way for LG OLED fans to offset the price increase in 2024 if they want to get their orders in sooner. If you place an order between March 1 and March 17, you can receive a free LG Smart Cam, free installation, and 5% back of the purchase price in the form of “bonus rewards.”

Prices for LG QNED TVs

Prices for LG QNED TVs

As for LG’s so-called QNED LCD TV line, all models will be available again from the beginning of March. At the moment, prices are indicated for two lines: QNED90T and QNED85T. The QNED90T uses mini-LED lighting and local dimming, while the QNED85T uses a standard full array with local dimming ( FALD ) sets.

Both QNED series are equipped with the new Alpha 8 AI processor, which LG claims delivers 1.3x faster AI performance, 2.3x faster graphics performance, and 1.6x faster processing speed.

The LG 2024 QNED lineup will apparently have a maximum size of 98 inches and will start with a 43-inch TV. On the other hand, the pricing information released so far does not include these two most extreme QNED models. This is the information we have today.

LG QNED90T – Mini LED

LG 86QNED90TUA – $3300.
LG 75QNED90TUA – $2300.
LG 65QNED90TUA – $1900.

LG QNED85T – FALD

LG 86QNED85TUA – $2800.
LG 75QNED85TUA – $1800.
LG 65QNED85TUA – $1300.
LG 55QNED85TUA – $1000.
LG 50QNED85TUA – $850.

These prices are significantly lower than LG’s 2024 OLED TVs, especially when compared to the largest screen sizes. Although history shows that these models will not be able to offer comparable levels of performance. As with OLED TVs, there is a pre-order promotion for the QNED model until March 17th.

Soundbar SG10TY

It also includes 5% cash back in rewards, free wall mounting or TV stand installation, and a free LG Smart Cam. Another new LG product that has just received official pricing is the SG10TY soundbar, designed for use with G-series OLED TVs.

This new $800 wall-mounted soundbar comes with LG’s WOWCAST and WOW Orchestra features. The first option allows you to receive audio signals, including lossless Dolby Atmos , wirelessly from compatible LG products.

The second allows the soundbar to share its speakers with G4 TVs. As with QNED and OLED TVs, the SG10TY is available for pre-order until March 17th. This time around, there’s a 25% discount available when the soundbar is purchased as a bundle with a 55-inch, 65-inch, or 77-inch G4 TV.
