According to Samsung, its Tizen operating system will be installed in Loewe Stellar TVs , the flagship luxury models of the German luxury brand. Tizen OS provides access to Samsung TV Plus streaming, Samsung Gaming Hub and SmartThings for controlling other Samsung devices. Details about Loewe integration in the new products are not yet available.
Stellar replaces the Bild S line in the Loewe portfolio, official sales started on July 15. These are TVs with diagonals from 55 to 83 inches, equipped with the Micro Lens Array (MLA) brightness enhancement technology – it is also used in LG models. It is not without reason that, according to a recent statement by Loewe, WRBG OLED panels from LG Display were among the first to be purchased for the brand’s recently opened capacities in Kronach (Germany).
Loewe promises 3,000 nits brightness for its META OLED panels, which corresponds to the parameters of the second-generation Micro Lens Array technology. In addition, Dolby Vision HDR and HDMI 2.1 with support for 4K/120 Hz games with VRR and ALLM on all four HDMI ports are declared for the Stellar TVs. In addition, Dolby Atmos and DTS Play-Fi for wireless satellites of the brand’s surround sound systems are mentioned.
The 42- and 55-inch Loewe Stellar TVs are already on sale. Later this year, 48-, 65-, 77-, 83- and 97-inch models will be added.
In Europe, prices for Loewe Stellar TVs start at 3,300 euros for the 42-inch model and so far end at 20,000 euros for the 83-inch model. The price of the 97-inch Loewe Stellar TV has not yet been announced.
