The South Korean company Samsung has expanded its QEC business line with a new large 4K display.
The device is only 50 mm thick and has a diagonal of 98 inches. Its main one was the VA matrix, capable of displaying images in a resolution of 3480 x 2160 pixels. The maximum brightness is 450 nits, the response time is 8 ms, and the contrast ratio is 5000:1. 93 percent DCI-P3 color gamut coverage is reported.
The screen is based on the proprietary Samsung Quantum Processor 4K ( ARM Cortex-A72 with a frequency of 1.7 GHz). It is complemented by 8 GB of RAM. The chip uses artificial intelligence algorithms to enhance image quality in real time. The display runs on the Tizen 6.5 operating system.
Good sound quality is provided by a speaker system in a 2.2 configuration with a total power of 40 W. To connect to a signal source, you can use HDMI 2.1 and USB 2.0 connectors . For wall mounting there is a VESA 600 × 400 mm mount. The cost of the new item is $5,950.
